Mary's JJ

 Mary's Junk Journal

Size is 4 3/4" wide by almost 6" long and 1 1/4" deep and it's bulky

Material's

Cardboard I used a cereal box

Printer paper - depends on how many pages. I used 8 pages for my sign, plus the
Also use all kinds of paper, from envelopes, doilies, pad paper, book pages, kids' construction paper, and tissue paper.
Stickers, cutouts, flat flowers, ribbon, washi tape, decorate paper

Glue - (I used a few different kinds) a glue stick, Tombow, Aleene's tacky glue and I used scotch quick-dry adhesive

Cover:
I used a cereal box and cut it out to the size given above. I took two 12 X 12 papers laid one down put my front and back box on the paper and added the smaller cutout in-between spacing them just a little, so they are able to fold up like a book. the small one would be your spine. once I figured out where I wanted them, I glued them down. I left about 1/2" all around the other part and cut the rest of the paper off.
I folder the covers to make the book then I cut each corner off leaving a little then I glued down all the edges.

You can either decorate your pages before adding to your book or after you add up to yourself. I have done it both ways.

Signature:
The way I did mine I decided on the size then I Put the printer paper together and cut it to size, you can do a few at a time, to make it easier.

then I added my envelopes, book pages, etc. where I wanted them in the signature.
If I had any edges hanging over, I cut them down to fit in the book.
If you want to ink your edges do this before you put your signature together.

Now to add your signature to your Book.
I used this YouTube page to show me how to do signatures.
how to bind your junk journal there are others also you can look for.

Then you have the fun to decorate yours the way you want to. I made Belly bands, pockets, and more.
